Breeding Loan Program
Columbus Zoo Texas offers a breeding loan program
designed to support responsible captive
propagation of exotic species. Under this
arrangement, your animal(s) are housed at our
USDA-certified facility with the sole purpose of
captive propagation..
The zoo assumes full responsibility for the cost of
feeding, housing, daily care and vet costs if and when applicable. Offspring resulting from the program are shared equally 50/50 between the zoo and the animal owner.
If for any reason either party chooses to terminate the breeding loan the zoo will be compensated $35 per day per animal for invested time and cost in feed, labor and vet care, no animal will be released until the zoo is reimbursed in full no exceptions.

Boarding Program
As of November 2024, Columbus Zoo Texas is
USDA certified and now offers boarding
services for exotic and domestic animals.
Our facility provides spacious enclosures and a
stimulating environment designed to support the
health and well-being of each animal. Boarding is
available at a rate of $35 per day, per animal,
which includes all feedings and daily care.
