Breeding Loan Program             

Columbus Zoo Texas offers a breeding loan program
designed to support responsible captive
propagation of exotic species. Under this
arrangement, your animal(s) are housed at our
USDA-certified facility with the sole purpose of
breeding.
The zoo assumes full responsibility for the cost of
feeding, housing, and daily care throughout the
duration of the breeding project. Offspring resulting
from the program are shared equally, with a 50/50
split between the zoo and the animal owner.
Should the owner choose to terminate the breeding
loan prior to the production of offspring, a
reimbursement fee of $35 per day, per animal will
be required to cover the zoo's invested care
expenses before the animals are returned.
